Well, as some already know, I'm turning 40 this December. A good friend of mine, Sarah from the AAF, is also turning... er, 12 (well, that's what she says, anyway), close to the same date. We have decided that we will combine our parties and have a Pool Party at her place on Saturday the 5th of December.
Don't worry if you don't know where it is. We'll show you.
Please let me know if you can make it so that Sarah has some idea of how many people are likely to be descending on her flat.

Thanks to those who sent me well-wishes for my birthday. I appreciate it.
Friday was great. I had a bunch of people over. Some people couldn't make it for a number of reasons, and I understand that. I'm not offended at all. I had fun. I played the guitar, and sang. And people seemed to appreciate it. I was off-key far too often for my liking because I'd been drinking pretty much most of the afternoon (someone turned up early...). But it seemed to work.
Saturday I went to the Clean Feed rally and met up with a bunch of people. Had coffee and gelati, chatted and laughed. This is an important issue that I feel quite strongly about. But I won't go on. You've probably seen the thread in the
canberra community where I got trolled.
Then I took
razorgirl_au and her housemate to AAF training, because they thought it might be interesting. Watched ADFA Dave cut bamboo matting and water bottles with his sharp katana. Watched a bit of group fighting. Did a bit of gentle sword-on-sword with Victor, but my wrist was a bit sore (no, not for that reason, thank you - that is more elbow work...). Took
razorgirl_au to a birthday party and chatted about a bunch of things. It was fun. There were a bunch of people there, some of them from LJ, but I'm not going to post all their names. However, I did finally meet
fred_bear. I was intending to go from there to another birthday party, but when I left at about 8:30 and got into the car, I realised that I was extremely tired, so I unfortunately skipped that one.
Today (sunday), I bought myself my birthday present to myself - season 1 of Mythbusters. Came home and watched the first disk.
Now, it's lateish and I have to go to work tomorrow. I've had a good weekend.
I would like to have a really big party next year for my 40th.
