I'm planning a new Metascape game.
politas,
yasutani and a few others will know what I mean. This game will be with a bunch of AAFlings, but taking place in the same milieu as the previous game. This means that events that occurred in the first game will also occur in this one. Sorry Myk, but this means that previous players are not possible - although I may very well call for the occasional cameo appearance...
Part of the reason for his game is that we had someone come along to last weekend's picnic feast who appeared very keen on doing AAF stuff, and she expressed an interest in gaming. I thought it would be a good way to bring her into the AAF community. Anyway.
I'm in the early planning stage - I've got a very basic campaign structure (see my website), and I've recently been given a great PC group stucture and dymanic which I plan to totally run with.
Let me just say that I have resources that most GMs only dream of. Not only have I been a subscriber to the Roleplaying Tips & Tricks ezine for about two years, but I also am listening to the Roleplaying Public Radio podcast, and
fossilapostle is one of my LJ Friends.
Oh, in case you don't know about
fossilapostle, he runs a website called The Escapist, which is a roleplaying advocacy site which I've been a fan of for... um... quite some time. In fact, ever since I doscovered that some people have objections to roleplaying games in general.
I'm also in email contact with the desginer of the system I'm using for this game - Metascape, available from the Mental Winds Website. It's not a system that has ever got a lot of publicity - I doubt you've even heard of it - but it's well worth the look. At first glance it looks horribly complicated. But once you get to know it it's astoundingly elegant and easy to use.
Anyway. I just wanted to let the LJ scape know that I am doing this. And I also wanted to give a shoutout to some of my favourite sites.
